Mattel Inc., has issued a recall of Barbie Barbells and other Barbie accessories. The company issued a recall voluntarily after learning Barbie's Barbells contain lead-based paint. This may not be a problem for Barbie, but could be toxic to children and lead to serious injury if children put the toy in their mouths. Parents should immediately take the toy away from their children, and consult Mattel's website for refund information.
